I’ve always wanted to try an outdoor formal studio set up and this was my chance! I purchased the crushed grey muslin of my dreams and it was PERFECT for this little family session.
Austin Family Photographer--It's that time of year!
Family photos, family photos, family photos! It’s almost impossible to feel overwhelmed when your clients are THIS stinking cute though!
Austin Family Photographer-- Fresh morning on Rainey
What was meant to be a morning at the Long Center ended up on Rainey St! We ran into an early morning foot race downtown and had to switch locations. And it was meant to be! After taking some frames outside of this downtown condo building, a lovely gentleman who worked in the building took us up to the 10th floor so we could take a few from their observation deck overlooking the city. I don’t spend a lot of time downtown, but this was a great way to start the day.
Austin Family Photographer--Lady Bird Wildflower Center!
I’ve lived here my * WHOLE LIFE * and had never been down to the Lady Bird Wildflower Center. We had originally planned to meet up at Laguna Gloria (which is also a wonderful place) but switched gears last minute and I am SO happy that we did. I loved it and will most definitely be returning.
Austin Newborn--Mueller Lake Park
Having the opportunity to shoot Maternity sessions and then follow them up with newborn sessions is SO fun. This one, despite being in a busy park on a fairly muggy Austin day, was SO snuggly and fun. I loved working with this family so much.
San Antonio Family Photographer--A Day At San Jose
I loved this shoot. There! I said it! This shoot was so hot and humid. But this family is SO sweet and I had a blast. Shooting with children keeps me on my toes. You never know what you’re going to get or how long they’ll be happy to have you photographing them. They’re so sweet and genuine and I feel so grateful to be able to shoot family sessions.
Austin Family Photographer-- The quiet before
A quite little family session before the new baby arrives. What an absolutely amazing family, with an absolutely wonderful vibe.
Austin Family Photographer-- Morning at Brushy Creek
You know… I had never been to Brushy Creek park until this morning. What a cute place! Luckily it hasn't been excessively hot here in Austin this summer, but the nice breeze off of the lake made it all the better. D and her son were SO sweet and fun to work with.
Austin Family Photographer-- Welcome home, baby A!
Baby A was only 10 days old at the time of our session. I typically let my clients determine the timeline for their newborn sessions. Settling into life with a new baby can be stressful and I want everyone to be happy and comfortable. Courtney requested to have her session fairly close to the delivery of baby A, and this sweet, tiny, itty bitty squish was absolutely perfect for her first photo session.
Austin Family Photographer--Jen & Cliff and Baby M
These newborn sessions are KILLING ME WITH CUTENESS lately. Oh. My. GOSH!
Austin Newborn Photographer--Baby G
Wow, yall. Just… wow. This couple. This sweet baby. Their cute house. All of it came together so perfectly for their very first family photo session.
Austin Family Photographer-- Amy & Melanie, 10 years later!
Amy asked me if I would help her and her sister, Melanie, re-create some photos that they had taken with their friend 10 years ago… so, OF COURSE I said yes. We met up at Zilker Botanical Gardens and just snapped away as we walked around and enjoyed the spring greenery.
These two are funny as heck and absolutely AGELESS.
Austin Family Photographer-- Oh, Hello there baby N!
It is one of my * Favorite * things in the whole world to get to meet the tiny humans who’s parents had me photograph their maternity sessions. They’re always SO cute and SO squishy and I feel the most grateful to be trusted to help them make early family memories together.
I mean…. just LOOK at those sweet little cheeks!
Austin Family Photographer--Here comes the sun
This was my first full session after the winter storm and it was SO fun. This crazy cool family made every minute of our session *SO * fun and silly and wonderful. Summertime, here we come!
Austin Family Photographer--A quick trip to San Antonio!
I was lucky enough to get to take a short trip down to San Antonio the weekend before the big snow storm hit. This family was an absolute blast to photograph with and I hope to be able to work with them again in the future!
Austin Family Photographer--Baby T is finally here!
I love my clients. And I love it when I get to photograph them at various points in their journeys. It’s so satisfying. And truly an honor.
Austin Family Photographer--Amy and Mel's holiday photos
Fun catching up with Mel and Amy today while taking some shots for their holiday cards. Sharpay was the real star of the show of course ;)
Austin Couples Photographer-- A golden lining to everything
I’ve been feeling the WEIGHT of everything lately. And I don’t think I’m the only one. A perfect golden evening in the park with this amazing couple was just the ticket to get me out of my head and back into my creativity. They were absolutely amazing to work with and I hope to again in the future.
Austin Family Photographer--Jayme and Alex welcome a baby girl
In a year that has felt like 100 years— I’m so glad that there are still good things happening out there. Back in January, I had the chance to do a lifestyle shoot with Jayme and Alex. At the time they were applying for an adoption and needed some photos for the application. Cut to 9 months later and they have settled in a new home with a beautiful baby girl. <3 My heart is EXPLODING you guys! I feel so lucky. Jayme and Alex are wonderful people and I’m so grateful to get to photograph their growing family.
Austin Family Photographer--It's been a minute!
